Jayden’s cousin, Josh, was up from Ashdown this weekend to bring in the New Year with us. They are about the same age and get along perfectly. Josh also has a cell phone and over the couple days he was here, he and Jayden began texting each other. They are making plans to continue this texting frenzy to stay in touch when Josh goes home. He is a texting fool now. It’s cute.

My niece, Angel, was born yesterday. Latrice let Jayden same her Angel. This is the first little baby Zion has seen. He and Jayden are head over heal for her. Zion calls her “my baby”. We stayed at the hospital all day yesterday, (Jayden and Miracle – big sis – spent the night) and first thing this morning as soon as his eyes flew open the first words out of his mouth was “where’s my baby.” The entire time we were getting dressed to go back up to the hospital he was rushing us, anxious to get there. He was able to hold her in short intervals today and he was as happy as a lark. Now he and Jayden both want their OWN baby sister. They will have to go to god on that one.

"I'm in 3rd Grad now"

OMG, my baby is in 3rd grade! It seems like it was just yesterday he could barley talk and was still pooping on himself...lol. No seriously, Jayden is 8 and in 3rd grade! Are you kidding me. Needless to say, he's excited, I'm sad, and Manuel is just trying to keep up with the two of us and our emotions about the first day of school.
As usual, Jayden was up bright and early the first day. He dressed in his new digs, laced up his new shoes, strapped on a cool new back pack, and even tried out a new cologne, 'just for the ladies'. That's Manuel's son for sure!

To the beach be go?????

This week we went on vacation to Chicago. Manuel is still not wanting to hop on a plane, so we had to pick a location that we had not visited before and was within REASONABLE driving distance so, Chicago was it.
We had an absolute blast. The drive was 12 hrs with a few stops in between. Zion is potty training so he decided he wanted to be really on top of it this particular week. It seemed like we had to stop every hour. It got to the point where we just started pulling over to the shoulder and letting him pee outside. Jayden was a trooper, he had his portable DVD player, a few new PSP games, and a back seat of endless snacks. He was either glued to the TV or trying to get to the next level on the 'Pirates of the Caribbean Game'. He only asked "are we there yet?" 24 times each way (every 30 minutes). They both stayed awake THE ENTIRE TIME and fought endlessly. All and all it wasn't a bad ride, considering the alternatives.
Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. I hotel was impeccable (the Hyatt), and it DID NOT have a pool (god knew exactly what I needed, because that child of mine (Jayden) would have dragged be down there every night after a full day of sight seeing and I would have been worn slick!). Jayden was a bit disappointed, that is until we discovered 'THE BEACH'! It was like angels started to sing "hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, halleeeeluuuujaaaaaah!
We had plans for everyday we were there, but once we laid eyes on the sand and the water and the kids played their hearts out and didn't bother us AT ALL..... the plans went right out the window. Who cares about the Museum of Science and Industry anyways....lol! I much rather had relaxation and peace any day.
We proceeded to visit Lincoln Park, Brookfield Zoo, the aquarium, Navy Pier, and several other places (which were all great!) in the morning and then, "TO THE BEACH" every afternoon. It was wonderful! You have no idea how completely uncharacteristic this is of us. We had kicked around the idea of taking a beach vacation but in the so eloquent words of my husband "black people don't go to the beach, we don't need a tan!" That was sort of our position on it, but since it was a tourist attraction, we decided we'd expose the boys to it. Thank god it was at the top of our list. My boys would have died if we hadn't found it until the last day.
It got to the point that we were having to bribe them to be good at the other places if they wanted to go to the beach in the afternoon. That sweet little Zion woke up EVERY morning saying "ma, let's go to the beeesh..." Even after we got home, it took him a week to realize that the beeeesh is not 15 minutes away were we live. You can rest assured that our next vacation will be a home on the beach! Everybody wins in beach vacations!

To the vet we go

Yesterday, Manuel took Zipper to the vet. Zipper is almost 100 lbs now and very difficult to handle. Manuel said, on the way to the vet's office Zipper decided he didn't want to sit in the back seat, he wanted to sit in the front between Manuel and his brother, Jack, so he did. Manuel and Jack tried to push him back to the back seat but Zipper did not budge. He said the road all the way to the vet's office with a 100lb dog sitting between them with his tough hanging out. They got to the office and Zipper was so exited to see the other dogs that Manuel was sweating trying to keep him under control until it was their turn to go back. When the attendant came to get them, she warned Manuel that they had just cleaned up after another dog and the floor might be a little damp. Manuel said he opened the door to the examination room and the floor was more than damp it was completely wet. With one hand on the door knob and Zipper in the other, Zipper took off running through the room and with the floor wet Manuel was dragged from the entrance to the exit struggling to keep his balance. Manuel said when he finally got Zipper stopped they were in the surgical section of the clinic and the Drs and techs thought that was the funniest thing they had seen in a while. Manuel, on the other hand, was not amused.

I'm so over the animals

We went to the Gentry Drive Thru Suffari and Petting Zoo this past weekend. While we were doing the drive through part Zion was elated! He loved every single one of the animals and just kept asking, "can we get out". Finally a hour later we went to the petting part and Zion was so excited to go until he walked through the gate and realized that he animals were not on leashed or in cages, then of course he was ready to go. Jayen, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. I'm certain he's going to be a vet when he grows up. He was sitting on the ground with the animals and trying to pick them up. He didn't want to leave. We heard that there were baby animals at the top of the hill so we wondered up to see them. Little did we know, there were a couple of baby monkey's just playing around unleashed on the ground. They had diapers on and everything. We walked up and Zion thought the monkey was a toy because it was perfectly still eating a chip or something. Just as Zion leaned down to touch him, the monkey looked up and noticed Zion, Zion of course started screaming and took off running, the money of course thought this was a game and started to chase him. I laughed so hard I couldn't help my poor child. The attendant ran and got the monkey. Jayden on the other hand wanted to hold him.

"Rock a bye baby"

We were in Walmart the other day and Jayden of course wanted to buy a toy. We went to the toy section and I decided to buy Zion a toy. I walked up and down the isle looking for something I thought he'd like to play with. As we walked down the hall he screamed "go back momma, go back" I said what is it Zion, you want something. I turned around and started to walk back, I was thinking to my self... this is all girl stuff, what could he have possibly seen that he wants, and to my surprise, he was reaching for a baby doll! Oh, my goodness, what am I going to do???? I can't have a little boy walking around with a baby, so I called Manuel and said "we're in Walmart and Zion wants a doll, what do you think?"
Manuel: "is it a boy or a girl?"
Me: " it can be either"
Manuel: "I'm ok with him getting a boy"
Me: "you don't think a girl would be better"
Manuel: "absolutely not"
Me: "really"
Manuel: "and make sure it's blue"
LOL! MEN!
I select a doll with blue clothes (a boy) and we headed to the check out. I looked down to see Zion rocking the baby and singing "rocka by baby in the tee top" over and over again. He was so excited about his baby, but a few days later that thing was no where to be found and he could care less. I don't think we have anything to worry about......lol....

Ice Cream for almost everyone

Today we took our normal Sunday afternoon nap and when we got up we decided to go for a bike ride on a trail up the street from the house. We had lots of time to spare so we stopped by the park and let the kids play a few minutes and then proceeded on our ride. When it was all said and done we were on the trail for a couple of hours. As we were loading the bikes back on the truck, Jayden asked if we could go get ice cream. While in the drive through at Braums I noticed that Zion was hungry so I told Manuel not to get him any ice cream to get him a burger instead. Manuel placed the order and we sat at the window, the cashier passed Jayden's ice cream out and the the bag with Zion's hamburger out. As Manuel began to drive away, Zion threw his hands int he air and said "Oh, my goodness, she forgot to give me my i ceam!"

"What the heck???"

Zion is really coming up with some doozies here lately. He new favorite terms include "What the heck", "Oh my goodness", "Get off me dude", "Whatever dude"! Where does he get this stuff.

"I had it first"

Jayden and Zion were riding with me in the back seat and of course they were arguing about everything under the sun. Jayden loves to agitate Zion so he took his toy and Zion began to scream, "I had it furst, momma, Janen took my toy and I had it furst!" Jayden thought it was the funniest thing so he wouldn't give it back. My boys!

Zion got his first hair cut on Feb 5, 2008 and has been in love with haircuts every since. I can’t stop by the shop to get something from Manuel and Zion see him cutting someone’s hair without him throwing an absolute fit to get his hair cut. Yesterday, Zion had a Dr’s appointment. Manuel was taking him and he needed to run by the shop to get something. When they pulled into the parking lot, Zion cheered “I get to get a haircut, tank you daddy, oh tank you.” Manuel tried to explain that they had an appointment to get to and he didn’t have time to cut his hair, but what’s an appointment to a two year old. Knowing that Zion could care less, Manuel began distracting him as they walked in, he quickly grabbed his phone charger and was out the door in a few minutes. He got Zion buckled into his car seat and was on the road again. Just as they began to exit the parking lot, Zion started to scream, “daddy, I left my hair cut, I left my hair cut daddy. Let’s go back.”

"I left my hair cut"

Yesterday, Zion had a doctors appointment and Manuel had a hair cut to do a hour before so he took him with him to do the hair cut. By the way, Zion absolutely loves getting hair cuts. When the arrived at the shop, he excitedly exclaimed "dad, i gettin a hair cut??" Manuel said, "no, I have to do a client hair cut." This did not go over well with Zion and he began to have a tantrum so Manuel reluctantly agreed, "I'll cut your hair when I finish up with Mr. Frank." Zion said "o ta." Manuel cut Mr. Frank's hair and Zion found something that occupied his attention, as soon as Manuel was done, he grabbed Zion and said, "come on we've got to go so we won't be late." Zion said "o ta", took Manuel's hand and walked out to the car. As they were driving a way, Zion said "o, wait daddy, I forgot my hair cut!" Needless to say, Manuel had to deal with screaming all the way to the doctor's office.

Oatmeal Cream Pies

Zion has really started to know what he wants and is skilled at throwing a fit for it. He woke up yesterday and said, "I want cream pie". I said, "not until after you eat something" and of course the sparks started to fly. I let him lay in the middle of the floor and scream until I finished making his breakfast. Once his eggs, bacon, and Malt O Meal were done, I placed them on his high chair top along with the cream pie and said. "you can have it once you eat your breakfast." That child stuffed that food in his mouth until he began to gag! It was so sad, he wanted that cream pie.

The nosey little boy

I talk to my sister all the time on the phone and we really enjoy each other. This particular day was not unlike any other, but for some reason Zion was really interested in what I had to say. Every time I'd laugh or display any emotion he'd say "what happin momma, what happind" until I'd explain to him what happened then he'd say "O".

I cleaned my place momma.... kinda of!

It's constantly a challenge to get Jayden to eat his food, so the other day when he cleaned his place without me even harassing him, I was so excited. I hugged him and made a really big deal out of him cleaning his plate. As I was right in the middle of throwing the "Jayden cleaned his plate party" I noticed Zion picked up his plate and headed to the kitchen with it, as I watched him, he made his way to the trash can and dumped his plate out then walked back over to me and said, "momma, I ceaned my plated too!"

Isn't the 200 twice as long as the 100?

This weekend we attended a track meet in Little Rock and Jayden did very well as usual, but I've been pushing him to do the things he commits to. He runs the 200 in practice and does very well but I've get to convince him to run it in a actual meet. This weekend, he finished up the 100 in 3rd place of 16 and the long jump in 2nd place of 8. Once the announced his place in the long jump he started to gather our things and said, "ok let's go" I said "we can't go yet, you still have the 200". He looked at me and said "isn't hte 200 twice as long as the 100" I said "yes", he said "then I'm not running it, it's hot!"

Wher Robut

We have good friends that used to live in Fayetteville but got transferred to Little Rock just over 3 years ago (Cherhonda, Robert Sr, Nisha, Jade, and Little Robert). Jade is the same age as Jayden and Little Robert is 3 weeks younger than Zion. Over the holiday weekend they came to visit, Jayden and Jade were like two peas in a pod, just inseparable. Zion and little Robert were the same way. I was surprised because Zion isnt usually very nice to kids his age, but they got along great. You would have never know there were 5 kids in the house. We hated to see them go because we so enjoyed their company. A few days later, Zion started walking around the house looking for something... I said "what are you looking for son?" he said "mom, wher Robut?" He was looking for his friend.....

"Where's my cream"

Jayden and Manuel have developed this bad habit of wanting Ice Cream almost every night. I usually do partake, and if I do I usually share with Zion. This particular night, we when through the Braum's drive thru on our nightly ice cream run and I didn't get anything. The attendant passed the cups through the window in to us and I handed Jayden his cup. Manuel retrieved his serving and we drove away. As we were pulling away Zion started to whine "Where's my cream, where's my cream, I said WHERE IS MY CREAM!" Gone are the days when we can just get two or three cups of ice cream, Zion is officially ordering every time we go some place.

Usually when Jayden doesn’t get much rest the night before, he will wake up the next morning with a fever blister. So, I usually stay on him pretty hard to get in bed at a decent time so that his immune system doesn’t struggle. This morning I woke up and I had a fever blister on my top lip. Jayden grabbed my chin and turned it from side to side examining the blister and then he finally said…… “Mom, what time did you go to bed last night?” Kids say the darndest things.

My little track star

Jayden is really athletic. He's a little squirt, but excels at almost anything he tried because he's so driven.... (this will serve him well later in life). He has a friend Caleb who is running track with the NWA Track Club, of course in an effort to spend more time "playing" Jayden has decided he wants to give track a shot. I took him (figured it would keep him busy for the summer - boy was I right), and he was instantly drawn to the 100, 200, and long jump. He practiced with the team and within a couple weeks he had a meet. First time running competitively and he get's 4th in the 100, bailed out of the 200 (wouldn't run), and 1st place in the long jump. Now his coach is really pushing him to give it his all, pay attention to his form, practice outside of official practices. She talked with me the other day and said he has lots of potential in this sport if he applied himself.

My sweet little boy!

Jayden has a problem with fever blisters. Whenever he doesn't get enough rest the night before, he will almost always get a blister the next morning. When this happens, I always make him go to bed a little earlier the day it arrives, and he absolutely hates it! The other day, I picked him up from day camp and I was the one with the fever blister. Jayden got in the car and I said "how was your day Jayden", he said, "good mom". A few seconds went by and he looked at me, placed his hand on my face and turned it towards him, observed my fever blister, and said "mom, what time did you go to bed last night?????" "I think we need to work on you getting in bed a little early tonight, so we can get rid of this little sucker." I aggressively agreed.... lol! Sweet little boy.

Jayden's Crying MOMMY!

Jayden is really starting to smell himself lately and you can't tell him anything without him getting an attitude with you. It's been a battle of the wills in my house for a few weeks now and I'm just about done...... Last night, I asked Jayden to walk Shordee, he gave me attitude, I corrected him and he when on to do what I asked. I then asked him to bring me his dirty clothes basket, she sighed loudly and failed to move from the couch, I reminded him of my request and he flung his body off the couch, got his laundry basket and threw it in the laundry room. At this point, I called him over to me and said, "is something going on son? something you want to talk about? is everything ok? you're behavior sucks!" He snatched away from me and continued to try watching the tv show he was so into. To keep from beating him, I told him to go to his room and rest..... (maybe he's tired -I'm thinking). Jayden goes to his room followed promptly by Zion. A few seconds later Zion emerges to inform "Janen's cying momma, Janen's cying". I said, "he'll be ok, he's just mad at momma." Zion said "no momma, he not mad, he sad, mone, mone, check on him."

"You go to the potty, daddy?"

Zion has been adjusting quite well the school. He absolutely loves Mrs. Courtney. As long as she's there, the hand off is painless and smooth. When she's not, it's can sometimes be a bumpy ride. The daycare has been good about assisting us in our potty training efforts, he only goes through one package of pull ups every couple weeks. Not bad at all. Everyday when Manuel picks him up, the conversation goes something like this......
Dad: you have a good day Zion?
Zion: yes sir
Dad: you take a nap
Zion: I sleep morning (translation, yes)
Dad: you go to the potty
Zion: yes sir, I pee pee in the potty daddy
etc......
This particular day, Manuel picked Zion up from school and Zion initiated the conversation:
Zion: you have a good day daddy?
Dad: yes zion how about you?
Zion: yep, you take a nap daddy?
Dad: no zion, daddy has to work, you take a nap?
Zion: yep, you pee pee on the potty daddy?
Dad: yes zion daddy always pee pee on the potty, you pee pee on the potty zion
Zion: yep, zion always pee pee on the potty daddy

The things they pick up so quickly.....

I'm a big boy now! - Jayden style

Jayden turned 8 on May 10th and he had a blast at his birthday party. He invited about 15 little boys and we all went to Lokomotion. I was a bit concerned when we walked in because it's a tab run down.... not exactly like I remember it, but none the less Jayden and his friends spent the majority of their time either scarfing down pizza, cake, and drinks, or playing laser tab, riding go carts, bumper boating, or playing put put. I figured it would be a nightmare with Zion trying to keep up and Jayden not wanting to be bothered with his little brother, but quite to the contrary every where he could lug him along he did. It was just about the sweetest thing I've seen in a while.

The dreaded grandfather clock

Zion isn't scared of much, but Manuel's sister, Bobbie, has a grandfather clock that he is petrified of. It chimes every 30 minutes and no matter what he's doing or where he is, he sprints to me with all of his might and holds onto my leg for dear life. I place my hand on his back to give him added security and I can feel his heart bounding through his back! I have not idea why he's so scared of that stupid thing.

Apple Bottom Jeans, Boots with the Fur!

Manuel and Jayden listen to clean wrap in Manuel's car and when present, so does Zion. He is picking up so quickly now that we've got to be careful what we say, do, and listen to around him. The other day we were all riding together to get some ice cream and "Apple Bottom Jeans" came on. As soon as the music started playing almost in perfect harmony, Jayden's and Zion's heads started to bob (which I expected but what I didn't expect was for him to sing the words of the song, and on beat!), and Zion started in "She's got dem apple bottem jeans, bunts, wit tha fur, and the whole cwoud was lookin at her". We laughed for the longest.

Real Men wear Cowboy Boots!

Over the weekend we attended a black Rodeo in Tulsa and Jayden just had to be dressed for the occasion. The week before the even, he requested a pair of boots. I found some (Red Leather) at Tops' Shoes in Springdale's going out of business sale for only $5 a pair. I also got Zion a pair of black ones. They wore jeans and of course, shirts to match their boots. I couldn't find a red Cowboy Hat in Fayetteville, so when we made it to Tulsa, we stopped at a store and picked up a white one. They both looked so cute. Before we left the Rodeo, Manuel bought Jayden a rope to match his hat. I know we entertain his whims too much, but it was so much fun, getting them all dressed up and the event was absolutely a blast. We will definitely do it again next year.

Head Phones for Everyone!

This past weekend we hopped in the car and headed to Tulsa for a day of fun and RODEO! We have a dual DVD Player in the car, so I popped in a Elmo dvd for Zion and a Scooby Doo dvd for Jayden. Zion has never been interested in television and this time was no exception. He played with a ball for a good bit of the trip down and then fell asleep. On the way home, however, he had just gotten up (we spent the night and headed back first thing the next day) and was not sleepy. He was still uninterested in Elmo and having a fit to get out of his car seat, but then the most wonderful thing happened! He found an extra pair of head phones in the seat next to him and plugged them into his dvd player (he saw Jayden plug his in), placed the ear buds in his ears... all by himself, and was completely captivated. Can you believe it? He will watch the video with the headphones, but not with the volume simply coming from the player???? Not exactly sure why this fascinates him, but hey, whatever floats his boat.....lol. After that, it was a peaceful ride home. Not a peep from the back seat what so ever.

"Joo Mall"

Zion has never been interested in stuffed animals. The only toy we've gotten him to play with is a ball. He goes crazy over balls. Saturday we took the boys to Incredible Pizza in Tulsa before the Rodeo and Jayden has to have a custom stuffed animal. I thought, I'll take Zion over and see if he's interested in any of the animals and to my surprise he actually picked up a Red Monkey. We purchased it of course and I immediately gave him a name that would be easy for me to remember and the same for Zion. I called him "Red". A few hours later, we were sitting at the table eating and Zion was having a conversation with his new found friend. I asked him "what's your friend's name?" He replied "Joo Mall..." (interpretation: Jamal). From that point on, whenever he'd refer to the monkey, he called him Jamal. Where on earth he got that from I have not a clue. We don't know ANYONE named Jamal.......

"You ok Mommy, you ok?"

Zion can be just about he sweetest little boy around or a holy terror all within a 30 minute gap of one another. But this particular day he was being a sweet little boy. I sneezed and he looked up at me as serious as could be, placed his tiny little hand on my leg and said, "You ok momma, you ok?" I replied "I'm ok Zion". He kind of patted my thigh, then removed his hand and said "ok, mommy, ok..." and walked away. Awww, just melts my heart. Sweet boy!

1st Day of School for Zion

Zion is quite an aggressive little boy as he's used to interacting with people more than three times his age. We've been so blessed to have had Mrs. Perry as his nanny since he was 8 weeks old, but as he personality is developing, he doesn't understand how to interact with kids his age (he hits, bites, scratches, and pinches). He's also having a difficult time determining boundaries with adults. When he's given a command, he considers it a mere suggestion.... We're going to see if the structure of a traditional day care will help him sort this ideal of respect out. Today was his first day! We talked it up to him and was trying to be really super excited about it. We gave him a back pack and told him that he was going to school like a big boy and when Jayden put his back pack on to go to school we encouraged Zion to do the same. Poor little guy, had no idea what was coming. When we got to the school we let him walk up to the door on his own. He wasn't that excited to go into the class room, so Manuel went in with him while I filled out the paperwork. When it was time for us to go, he pouted a little and in the saddest voice you ever did hear he said "By Daddy..." His teacher said he did very well, he stayed all day and wasn't super anxious to leave when I picked him up.

"ELIJAH!"

Zion is so quickly becoming a HOLLY TERROR! He's so demanding and down right combative most of the times. He's bull headed. He considers your commands, mere suggestions and he chooses not to listen. Last night, I was watching American Idol and LiL Rounds was just about to perform when Zion started pulling the restaurant receipts off the stairs and throwing them all down the hall. I said "Zion, no!" as usual, he continued as if I wasn't talking to him at all. In a desperate attempt to watch the performance but get his attention enough to get him to stop I called his middle name "ELIJAH!" He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me and said "momma, no Elijah!" Ha, ha, I got his attention. For the rest of the night, if he didn't listen to my direction, I called him Elijah and he listened. Now I know why parents sometimes have to use a kid's whole name. It gets' there attention. Who would have thunk it?

Hold you!

Zion has no problem verbalizing what he wants you to do. Just recently, he's gotten where he wants you to hold him ALL THE TIME. When he's ready, he'll say "Hold jew, momma, hold jew" with his hands lifted in the air. If you don't response the commands only become louder and more demanding "hold jew, momma, hold jew", if I don't submit, he moves on the the next victim, which is normally Jayden, "HOLD JEW, JAYDEN, HOLD JEW!" He's so big that when Jayden picks him up he has to sit with him until, Zion is done. Then Zion gets down and the both resume whatever they were doing before.

Need Help?

Saturday Morning after Manuel was getting ready to head off to work, but decided to eat a bowl of cereal before he headed out and as he was attempting to pull the chair away from the table to sit down, both arms were full of stuff. Zion recognizing the struggle, said "Daddy, need help, need help Daddy?" and attentively awaited Maunel's response. Manuel said "no thank you so, daddy got it" Zion said "welcome" and walked away.

The things kids pick up

Jayden is really into Urban Wear, Slang, and Rap Music. Zion has become the biggest mocking bird you ever did see. So last night, I was making dinner and Zion said "cup momma, cup" in other words he wanted me to give him a cup of juice. My hands were dirty, so I said, "One sec Zion". He said "awight" translation.... slang for (all right)!

"Can I Momma"

Zion is really starting to put sentences together and it's the cutest thing. Sunday Night we came back from grocery shopping and Manuel and Jayden were unloading the car while I tried to occupy Zion. He had been instructed not to go outside the wash room into the garage, because we were afraid he'd end up in the street and get ran over. He wasn't being very obedient, so I made him stay with me. When Manuel and Jayden finished bringing in the groceries, as we were putting things away, Manuel noticed that he forgot to get something out of the car, so he was headed back out with Zion right on his heals. A slit second later, I guess Zion realized that he was about to do something I had instructed him not to do, so he turned back and over his shoulder said "Can I momma, can I?" and waited for my reply. I said "yes, Zion" He said "k" and continued after Manuel. I love it when they listen.

"Say What?"

The other day we were at my sister's house and she was having her car repaired by a Hispanic man. Once he got done he came to the door and explained to my sister what was wrong with it and what needed to be done. During the course of the conversation, Zion was at my sister's knee listening and looking up into the guy's face. When he was done explaining and waiting on my sister's response, Zion said "Say What?". We all rolled in laughter and the entire time we were laughing, he was looking at us like. "What?"

Oh the joys of SPRING BREAK

This Spring Break we decided to get in the car and drive the kids down to Atlanta for the week. We visited several places, The Coke Plant, CNN Studios (to which Jayden said.... "this is really lame"), the Georgia Aquarium, The Atlanta Zoo (both of which Jayden was in heaven, he loves animals), and the Underground Mall. All in all the trip was very nice. It was getting there that proved to be a challenge. Normally we fly everywhere, but just recently, Manuel seems to have some sort of block with flying so he refuses to do so. So, we rented a van to drive down. Jayden's response when he saw the van "ah, cool, I want one!". Kids...... We purchased a dual screen DVD Player for the car to keep the kids company. Zion decided that the TV was not interesting to him and he refused to watch it. For the entire 12 hrs he either screamed at the top of his lungs to hold Jayden's PSP and listen to music from there or he picked at Jayden, and Jayden yelled at the top of his lungs. Zion slept all of a hour and a half there and a hour and a half back. The rest of the time both of them were awake. I was so ready to get out of the car and hide under something. Pictures will be posted shortly.
